New York Relays (NY) RACE VIDEOS | PHOTO ALBUMS

Lucy Biles defeats Eliza Rego for adidas Dream Mile bid
Lucy Biles (Herriman, UT) defeats Eliza Rego (La Salle, RI) for adidas Dream Mile bid in 4:55.


Girls Highlights:

  • Lucy Biles (Herriman UT) traveled all the way from Utah to earn a spot in her second straight adidas Dream Mile race as she was just able to hold off New England indoor mile champ Eliza Rego (La Salle RI) for a 4:55.82 victory at Icahn Stadium.
  • Halle Hazzard (St. Anthony's NY) dipped just under 12 seconds in the 100 (11.99) to earn an invite for the adidas Dream 100.
  • Kaitlin Ryan (Bronxville NY) won the 800 in a US top 20 effort of 2:11.32.
  • Emma Gallagher (Cardozo NY) took the girls 400 hurdles in a US #5 1:01.56. Benjamin Cardozo girls won the 4x400 in a New York state best 3:50 as well.

    Michael VitucciMichael Vitucci runs 4:14.85 Mile to earn an invitation to the adidas Dream Mile.

Boys Highlights:

  • Michael Vitucci (St. Xavier OH) made sure no New Yorkers had the tough decision between the New York State Meet and adidas Dream mile both held on June 13th as the Ohio state 1600 meter champ earned the auto qualifier for the Dream Mile kicking away from Alex Maguire (Fairfax VA) and Aiden Tooker (Saratoga Springs) for a 4:14.85 win at New York Relays.
  • Anton Porter of Mt. St. Michael (NY) stormed down the straightaway on perfect weather day at Icahn Stadium to post a US #4 clocking of 10.51 in the 100 meter dash and qualify for the adidas Dream 100.
  • Rai Benjamin (Mt. Vernon NY) broke facility and meet records in his first race back on home state turf this outdoor season after competing at Carifta Games and Arcadia Invite, cruising to US #2 53.91 400mH and US #3 21.05 200m.
  • Bobby Colantino threw for a US #1 mark of 238'7" in the hammer throw as he had to defeat his Barrington (RI) teammate and previous #1 ranked Adam Kelly (2nd, 234'2") for the win.
  • Sidney Gibbons (Monsignor Glancy NY) rolled to a New York state best 14.19 in the finals of the 110 meter hurdles.

Great Oak 4x1,600m relay runs US #3 All-Time 19:53

Girls Highlights:

  • Vashti Cunningham (Bishop Gorman, NV) set the National High School Record in the girls high jump clearing 6-4.25!
  • 100 meter hurdles national leader Jasmyne Graham ran just off her season best from last weekend with a 13.29 win at Mt. SAC, but also posted a US #2 41.89 PR in the 300 meter hurdles.
  • Great Oak (CA)'s national record comes up short, but still charge to US #3 All-Time 19:53 4x1,600m, also breaking their own California State Record. Unofficial splits were Evelyn Mandel (4:59), Sydney Belus (5:01), Kiyena Beatty (5:01), Destiny Collins (4:51)
  • Great Oak returns on Saturday for US #1 11:46.92 DMR with Beatty, Mya Marshall, Ally Whiplash and Collins on the anchor; Saugus (CA) US #2 11:48.18, Campolindo (CA) US #3 11:48.29
  • Dani Jones (Desert Vista, AZ) punches ticket to Brooks PR Invitational in winning 800m in US #5 2:08.85
  • Ciynamon Stevenson (Great Oak, CA) US #3 40-3 TJ
  • Courtney Corrin (Harvard Westlake, CA) US #1 20-8.5 (1.9) LJ
  • Claire Graves (Citrus Valley, CA) wins 3,200m in 10:39.05

Boys Highlights:

  • The Great Oak (CA) boys showed they can run as well as the girls team, cruising to US #1 7:37.09 4x800m and US #1 10:05.35 DMR
  • T.J. Brock (Chaminade CA) runs 10.20 100m (2.6w) to defeat last week's Arcadia Invitational winner Ian Mack of Green Valley NV (10.43) with the fastest all-conditions time in the country by .11 of a second!
  • Issac Trevino (Centennial, CA) follows Arcadia Invitational win with another 800m victory, punching his ticket to Brooks PR with US #5 1:51.51 as Arturo Sotomayor (Roseville, CA) runs US #6 1:51.54 to kick by early leader, US #2 Carlton Orange.


Kansas Relays (KS) - RACE VIDEOS


Stephanie Jenks battled Hannah Long to win the Kansas Relays Invitational 1,600m in a US #1, Meet Record, adidas Dream Mile qualifier 4:40.78.

Girls Highlights:

  • Defending KU Relays 1,600m champion Stephanie Jenks (Linn-Mar, IA) and KU Relays 1,600m meet record holder Hannah Long (Eureka, MO) clashed in the adidas Dream Mile qualifier, as Long set the pace at a 70-second clip. Jenks turned on another gear in the final 300 meters, charging to a new PR, Meet Record and US #1 4:40.78 to US #3 4:43.67
  • Shayna Yon (Cherokee Trail, CO) wins Dream 100 qualifier in 11.68
  • Amy Davis (Madison Edgewood, WI) wins wire-to-wire 3,200m in US #15 10:31.39 over Katie Spencer (10:35.39)
  • New Balance Nationals Indoor shot put champion Sophia Rivera (Brentwood, MO) wins javelin (US #3 162-9) and shot put (47-3.5)

    Matt Plowman of York HS, ILMatt Plowman (York, IL) wins the Invitational 1,600m in US #5 4:11.43 to earn an invite to the adidas Dream Mile.

Boys Highlights:

  • Foot Locker All-American Thomas Pollard set the pace in the adidas Dream Mile qualifier, but it was Matt Plowman (York, IL) who won in 4:11.43 with Ben Barrett (4:12.43) in second
  • Riley Osen sets Kansas-leading time in 3,200m with 9:13.43 over early leader Tyler Gillam (9:14.78)
  • US #5 pole vaulter Tommy Dial breaks PV Meet Record with 17-0 clearance
  • NBN Indoor shot put champion Willie Morrison wins shot put (64-11.5) & runner-up in discus behind Carlos Davis, who set US #2 mark at 194-7
  • US #1 javelin thrower Jeff Ast (Andale, KS) wins jav in 201-9
  • Brian Bell, the New Balance Nationals indoor 800 champ, made his outdoor season debut with a US #3 time of 1:51.04 from the Dunbar (OH) senior.
  • US 110 meter hurdles national leader Chad Zallow won the 110 hurdles in a swift 13.68 clocking, but took a rare loss in the 300 meter hurdles (38.46) to Madison's Frank Douglas (38.22)
  • Ohio indoor state high jump champ Cody Stine cleared a US #11 height of 6'10".
  • Trevor Detillion launched a big mark of US #10 189'4" in the boys discus. Detillion was an Ohio state champ and New Balance Nationals All-American last spring in the event.

Pasco Invitational (WA)

  • Michael Slagowski (Rocky Mountain ID), winner of last week's Arcadia Invite 800, picked up another major win against top competition out-of-state in the Pasco Invite mile against Washington's best John Dressel (2nd, 4:13.40), Cole Christman (3rd, 4:13.86), and Tanner Anderson (4:15.92).
  • Another big throw in the javelin from Hudson Keffer (Central Kitsap WA) at 207'5". Keffer is currently ranked US #2 with a season best mark of 210 feet.
  • Quick time of 10.45 in the 100 meter dash produced by Phillip Moore (Eastmont Senior WA).
  • Saudia James Hubbard, only a freshmen from Curtis (WA) leaped over 40 feet in the girls triple jump with a US #11 mark of 40'3.25".
  • Bishop Blanchet (WA) junior Laura Marty successfully cleared a personal best height of 13'6" in the girls pole vault to move into US #6 ranking in the event.

Texas District Meets (TX)

Girls Highlights:

  • Tonea Marshall rolls to 13.70 clocking in 100 hurdles at her district meet, while Samantha Gonzalez runs 13.77 in her district race.
  • Abby Guidry 5:02.4/10:47.79 double (District 16-6A)
  • Aaliyah Miller (McKinney Boyd) 2:11.40 800m (District 6-6A)
  • Fast 6A 1,600m runs from Julia Heymach in 4:43.99 (District 20-6A) and Devin Clark in 4:47.64 (District 25-6A)

Boys Highlights:

  • Eric Age US #3 46.42 400m (District 14-5A)
  • Alex Rogers 4:14.43 1,600m/9:06.95 3,200m double wins just ahead of Sam Worley 4:14.44 1,600m/9:16.09 3,200m (District 25-6A)
  • Jesse Jones (District 26-6A)
  • Myles Marshall 1:52.83 800m, 47.62 400m runner-up behind Ogi Igbokwe (46.82) & anchors Kingwood's 4x400m (3:14.74)

Florida District Meets (FL)

Girls Highlights:

  • LaKayla Harris (Miami, FL) US #3 23.56 200m ahead of Twanisha Terry of Miami Northwestern, T-US #5 23.85 (3A District 16)

Boys Highlights:

  • Adrian Killins (Mainland, FL) T-US #8 10.57 100m & 21.92 200m (3A District 5)
  • Shaun Shivers US #7 21.32, 21.32, 21.33, 21.34

Great 8 Invitational (TN)

Girls Highlights:

  • Tyra Gittens nearly clears 6 feet again with a 5'11" clearance in Nashville on Tuesday night. Gittens also takes the win in 100 hurdles at 14.53.
  • Amber Tanner clocks a US #14 42.68 in the 300 hurdles.
  • Freshmen Taylor Cuneo wins the girls 3200 in 10:58, while Hailey Hendry (5:01) leads a handful of girls under 5:10 in the 1600.
  • Ravenwood's Madeline Ballard leaps 19'1" in the long jump.
  • Janel Pate is a double winner in the sprints with clockings of 11.93 in the 100 and 56.47 in the 400.

Boys Highlights:

  • Deep distance races including 7 guys 4:22 or faster in the 1600 led by Ben Weisel (Father Ryan TN) in 4:14.78 victory, while Matt Rainey wins boys 800 in US #11 1:52.34.
  • The Neelly brothers, Brett (173'7") and Adam (172'2") dominate the discus going 1-2.
  • Brentwood Academy's George Patrick sweeps the hurdles (14.45 110H & 38.49 300H).

Oregon Relays (OR)

Matthew MatonMatthew Maton ran US #3 All-Time 3:42.54 1,500m at the Oregon Relays.

Girls Highlights:

  • Lindsey Bradley (Richland, WA) US #1 9:39.99 3k; Brenna Peloquin (Gig Harbor, WA) US #8 9:59.53 3k

Boys Highlights:

Panther Wildcat Relays (IA)

  • Kiana Phelps, one of the nation's top returning girls discus throwers, threw for a season best and US #2 mark of 162'10".

Pro/Whit Indoor Championships (AK)

  • Allie Ostrander (Kenai Central, AK) returns to the Dome one week after her sub-10 3,200m performance another nice triple, rolling to wins in the 3,200m (10:03.10), 1,600m (4:50.24) and 800 (2:15.30)
  • Jonah Theisen (Kenai Central, AK) doubles in the 1,600m (4:22.08) and 3,200m (9:32.51)

Houston County Championships (GA)

  • Indoor nationals 60 meter runner-up Cassondra Hall (Northside, Warner Robins GA) turned in two fast times in the 100 (11.52) and 200 (23.90). Neither race was wind-recorded.

  • Teahna Daniels (First Academy, FL) runs All-Conditions US #1 11.15 in the 100m, with a 2.4 wind reading

  • Caitie Faust (Marist GA) ran just off a US top 10 time in the 800 with a US #12 2:10. 68 on her home track in a mid-week meet.

Glacier vs. Flathead (MT)

  • Freshman distance runner Annie Hill makes her 3200 debut of the season with a very swift 10:36 performance.

Lee-Davis Invitational (VA)

  • Great distance double from New Balance Nationals All-American Matthew Novak who won the 3200 in a 9:15 PR in the morning and then doubled back to win the 1600 in 4:11.
  • Western Branch (VA) hurdlers Funlayo Oluwole (13.92) and Faith Ross (14.07) went 1-2 in the 100 hurdles finals to post the top two fastest times in Virginia.
