FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State sophomore Katie Johnson finished third in the hammer throw at the Bison Open on Friday, April 9. 

Her best throw came on her fourth attempt when she reached a mark of 130 feet 8 inches.  Northern State's Amanda Madden won the event with a mark of 178-9.

The Bison Open continues on Saturday, April 10 with the field events at 12 p.m. and the running events at 2:30 p.m.
