NDSU Women Claim USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Award

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The North Dakota State women's track and field team earned the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team award the organization announced today. A total of 151 institutions earned the distinction as a result of a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or better.

 

Oklahoma led the nation with the highest team cumulative GPA (3.62) through the winter 2010 term. Quinnipiac was next in line at 3.58.  NDSU tied for 18th nationally with a GPA of 3.41.

 

NDSU was one of three Summit League teams honored.  IPFW and South Dakota State also picked up the award.

 

The Big East led all conferences as 12 of their members notched USTFCCCA All-Academic status, including DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Rutgers, St. John's, Syracuse, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Louisville, USF, Villanova, and West Virginia. The MAC, Big Ten, and Big 12 followed with eight.
