Bison Men to Host NDSU Open Friday

FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State men's cross country team will host the NDSU Open Friday, Sept. 3 at the Rose Creek Golf Course in Fargo.  The six-kilometer race will begin at 5:40 p.m. at Rose Creek Golf Course.  The Bison will compete against Concordia Moorhead.

The Bison return 14 athletes from last year's squad that finished sixth at the Summit League Championships.  Seniors Eric Stroh and Tom Wagner will be backed by a strong five-member junior class.  Nine freshmen have joined the team this fall.

NDSU will compete in six meets this fall.  After Friday's home meet, the Bison will travel to Falcon Heights, Minn. for the Oz Memorial Run on Sept. 10.  The team will also compete in the adidas Wisconsin Invitational Oct. 2 and the Jim Drews Invitational Oct. 16.  IUPUI will host the Summit League Championships Oct. 30 and Bradley University will host the NCAA Midwest Regional Nov. 13.
