ELMHURST, Ill. ? Sixteen members of the North Dakota State men's track and field team were named All-Summit League as announced by the league office.  The top three athletes in each event prior to the league championships earned the award.

Four Bison lead their respective events.  Sophomore Kevin Jackson is first in the 100 meters with a time of 10.62 seconds, while senior Eric Stroh leads the 800 meters in 1 minute 49.65 seconds.  Senior Ted Rud is first in the decathlon with 7,068 points and sophomore Matt Tetzlaff is tops in the 110 meter hurdles in 14.22.  Tetzlaff is also third in the 400 hurdles. 

Sophomore Lee Dhein, junior Jason Duchscherer, freshman Donte Smart and Jackson also earned all-league honors as part of the top 4x100 relay team.

Jackson led the squad with six all-league awards.  In addition to leading the 100 meters and 4x100, he is third in the 200 meters and 110 meter hurdles and second in the 400 meter hurdles.   Along with Duchscherer, Stroh and Smart, he also picked up all-league honors as the second place 4x400 relay team.

Stroh is also ranked second in the 1,500 meters.  Smart picked up two individual honors as he is second in the 100 meters and third in the 400 meters.  Sophomore Andy Lillejord is second in the decathlon and tied for third with junior Joe Bredahl in the pole vault.  Sophomore Moses Heppner is second in the 800 meters and redshirt freshman Alec Espeland is third in the same event.  Junior Andrew Fillmore is third in the steeplechase.

Senior Jeramy Geditz is ranked second in the high jump, while senior Logan Hollenkamp is second in the hammer.  Sophomore Casey Orgon is third in the hammer and senior Sam Soholt is second in the discus.

The Bison open their title defense Thursday, May 12 as they begin action at the Summit League Championships in Sioux Falls, S.D.
