Another week of North Dakota track and field is in the books, and the results delivered some standout performances across the state.
Here's a look at five girls and five boys who led the way last week.
Top Performers:
Isabella Nygaard (Horace, 2026):
Nygaard won the 100m at 12.05 at the Shanley Invitational last week, the fastest mark in the state among girls through the weekend.
Evan Tiongson (Sheyenne, 2026):
The sprint lists belong to Tiongson from last week, posting an 11.07 in the 100m and 22.08 in the 200m to lead all boys in the state at the Shanley Invitational.
Jilian Quale (Bismarck, 2026):
Quale led all girls in the 200m at 25.16 at the BPS River City Invite last week and also posted a 12.27 in the 100m at the same meet, giving her the top sprint profile among all girls over the weekend.
Luca Rout (Davies, 2028):
A 1:55.37 in the 800m at the Shanley Invitational led all boys in the state last week by more than four seconds, the most dominant distance performance of the weekend.
Ryen Brothers (Legacy, 2026):
Brothers led all girls in the discus at 145-4 and finished fourth in the shot put at 40-11.50, both at the BPS River City Invite last week. She's the top throws profile among all girls in the state through the weekend.
Alexander Meece (Davies, 2026):
Meece's 179-10 in the discus at the Shanley Invitational leads all boys in the state last week by more than 16 feet, extending his hold on the top spot in that event.
Cambree Moss (Williston, 2027):
Moss led all girls in the 1600m at 5:13.18 at the BPS River City Invite last week and also posted a 2:24.25 in the 800m at the same meet, making her one of the more formidable distance runners in the state.
Chris Kambal (South, 2026):
The senior led all boys in the long jump at 22-2.50 and the triple jump at 43-9.50 at the Shanley Invitational last week, the top horizontal jumps profile among all boys in the state over the weekend.
Summer Nagel (Wahpeton, 2031):
Nagel led all girls in the 100mH at 15.53 and the 300mH at 44.83 at the Shanley Invitational last week, posting the top hurdles marks in both events in the state over the weekend.
Noah Meidinger (Oak Grove Lutheran, 2026):
Meidinger's 199-4 in the javelin at the Shanley Invitational leads all boys in the state last week, the only throw over 199 feet among all boys through the weekend.
