Bison Men's Indoor Track Chosen to Win Summit League

ELMHURST, Ill. - The North Dakota State men's track and field team has been picked to win the Summit League indoor track title in a preseason poll of the league's seven head coaches.

The defending league champion Bison earned four first-place votes and 34 points.  They were followed closely by Southern Utah, which had two first-place votes and 31 points.  South Dakota State was chosen third with 24 points.

The Bison are led by 2009 Indoor Coach of the Year Don Larson.  Junior Jeramy Geditz, the league champion in the high jump and sophomore Weston Leutz, the 60 meter hurdles champion, return to lead the squad.  Weight throw school record holder junior Logan Hollenkamp also returns.

Last year, Matt Bishoff became the first Bison to compete at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships.  He earned All-America honors in the heptathlon after finishing 11th.
