Orgon Reaches NDSU Top Ten in Weight Throw at Snowshoe Open

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. ? North Dakota State redshirt freshman Casey Orgon won his flight in the weight throw at the Snowshoe Open on Friday, Feb. 19.  Orgon's throw of 56-1 is ranked sixth on the NDSU all-time performance charts.

 

Orgon also finished fifth in the shot put with a throw of 47-3 ½.

 

Senior Scott Johnson and junior Sam Soholt also competed in the weight throw.  Johnson finished eighth in his flight with a throw of 57-8 ½ and Soholt was 10th with a mark of 53-7 ½.

 

In the 800 meters, sophomore Kole Seiler finished third in his section with a time of 1:58.38.

 

The Bison host the Summit League Indoor Championships Sunday, Feb. 28 and Monday, March 1 at the Bison Sports Arena.  NDSU will be aiming for its third straight indoor title.
