Eleven NDSU Men's Track and Field Athletes Earn All-Summit League Honors

ELMHURST, Ill. ? Eleven members of the North Dakota State men's track and field team have been named to the All-Summit League team.  The top three athletes in each event earn all-league honors.

Five Bison lead their respective events.  Sophomore Weston Leutz leads two events, the 60 meter hurdles and the heptathlon.  Junior Jeramy Geditz is first in the high jump, while senior Scott Johnson leads the weight throw.  Junior Eric Stroh is ranked No. 1 in the 800 meters and sophomore Kevin Jackson is tied for first in the 60 meters.

Jackson is also third in the 60 meter hurdles.  Freshman Moses Heppner is third in the 800, while junior Lee Kersting is third in the triple jump.  Redshirt freshman Jesse Morrow is ranked third in the pole vault and redshirt freshman Casey Orgon is second in the weight throw.  Junior Ted Rud is second in the heptathlon, while fellow junior Doug Scott is second in the long jump.

The Bison go for their third straight indoor title this weekend as NDSU hosts the Summit League Championships Sunday, Feb. 28 and Monday, March 1 at the Bison Sports Arena.  The men's heptathlon begins Sunday at 9:45 a.m. while the field and running events start at 3 p.m.  Monday's action begins with the conclusion of the heptathlon at 9 a.m.  The field events start at 11 a.m. and the track events begin at noon.
