Brost to Compete in Pole Vault at NCAA Championships

FARGO, N.D. - North Dakota State sophomore Leslie Brost will compete in the pole vault at the NCAA Division I Indoor Championships this weekend.  It is the second straight year she has qualified for the championships.  She edged into the field on the last weekend possible, clearing 13-10 1/2 at the Last Chance Qualifier Saturday, March 6.

The NDSU record holder in the pole vault, Brost is one of 17 athletes in the NCAA field.  Indiana State's Kylie Hutson is the defending national champion and currently leads the country with a mark of 14-8 ¼.

Last year, Brost finished 11th at the NCAA Championships with a mark of 13-3 ½.

The women's pole vault begins at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 13 at the Randal Tyson Track Center on the campus of the University of Arkansas.  Live video streaming of the championships will be available at NCAA.com.
