Jackson Claims 200 Meters at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. ? North Dakota State sophomore Kevin Jackson won the 200 meter developmental race at the Duke Invitational Friday, April 2.  Jackson's time of 21.59 is tied for 10th on the school's all-time performance charts.

Sophomore Jeramy Geditz finished second in the high jump with a mark of 6-9 ½.  Sophomore Jake Henderson placed second in the 5,000 meters in 15:23.76.

In the seeded hammer throw, junior Logan Hollenkamp placed sixth with a personal best throw of 181 feet.  His mark is fourth all-time at NDSU.  Senior Scott Johnson was seventh with a mark of 180-1.  Redshirt freshman Casey Orgon's throw of 167-4 was good for 11th place and eighth on the NDSU all-time performance charts.

Junior Doug Scott was fourth in the 100 meter developmental race in a time of 11.19, while junior Tom Wagner was fourth in the 1,500 developmental race in 4:08.89.  Redshirt freshman Andrew Balzer was seventh in the 400 meter developmental race in 50.24.

In the seeded 1,500, freshman Moses Heppner led four Bison athletes with a time of 3:55.85 to finish ninth.

The Duke Invitational concludes Saturday, April 3.
