Bison Men Compete at Mt. SAC Relays, Bryan Clay Invitational

WALNUT, Calif. ? North Dakota State sophomore Kevin Jackson posted the team's best finish of the day at the Mt. SAC Relays, finishing fifth in the 200 meters in a time of 21.43.  Sophomore Nolan Berg and junior Jeramy Geditz also posted top 10 finishes.

In the C pole vault competition, Berg tied for ninth with a mark of 15-1.  Geditz tied for 10th in the high jump after clearing 6-6 ¾.

Sophomore Travis Fitzke posted a time of 3:51.20 in the 1,500 meters, which ranks 10th all-time at NDSU.

The Bison also competed at the Bryan Clay Invitational hosted by Azusa Pacific University.  Four members of the team placed in the top 10 in the hammer throw.

Senior Scott Johnson led the way with a fourth place finish after a throw of 178-4.  Junior Logan Hollenkamp was fifth with a mark of 175-9.  Junior Sam Soholt's throw of 170-1 was seventh and is sixth all-time at NDSU.  Redshirt freshman Casey Orgon was ninth with a mark of 167-0.

In the steeplechase, junior Tom Wagner was third in a time of 9:30.06, while freshman Matt Tetzlaff was sixth in the 110 meter hurdles in 14.81. Tetzlaff was also sixth in the 400 hurdles after posting a time of 53.83.

The Bison continue action tomorrow at the Mt. SAC Relays, while some members of the team will also compete at the Beach Invitational.
