Jackson Wins 100, Bison Place Four Runners-Up at Howard Wood Dakota Relays

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.--Kevin Jackson ran a time of 10.67 seconds to win the 100-meter dash and North Dakota State had four runner-up finishes at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays on Saturday, May 1, at Howard Wood Field.

NDSU took second place in the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 3 minutes, 20.01 seconds, and the Bison were second in the 1,600-meter sprint medley with a time of 3:28.66.

In the high jump, NDSU's Jeramy Geditz was second with a leap of 6 feet, 10 1/4 inches, which tied for ninth on the NDSU all-time performance list.

Weston Leutz was second in the 110-meter hurdles for NDSU with a time of 14.50 seconds.

The Bison also got third-place finishes from Ted Rud in the long jump with a mark of 22 feet, 9 1/4 inches, and Matt Tetzlaff in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.38 seconds.

North Dakota State will compete in the Summit League outdoor track and field championships May 13-15 at the University of Toledo.
