Four Bison Men to Compete at NCAA Preliminary Round

FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State men's track and field team will send four student-athletes to the West Region NCAA Preliminary Round in Austin, Texas May 27-29.  In both the East and West regions, the top 48 athletes in each event made the preliminary round and the top 12 will advance to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore.

Sophomore Kevin Jackson will compete in both the 200 meters and the 400 meters.  He is 44th in the 400 meters with a time of 47.41 and 47th in the 200 meters with a time of 21.34.

Sophomore Weston Leutz earned a spot in the 110 meter hurdles after posting a time of 14.21.

Senior Scott Johnson and junior Logan Hollenkamp will both compete in the hammer throw.  Johnson is 32nd with a season-best mark of 193 feet 4 inches, while Hollenkamp is 48th after a throw of 184-8.
