AUSTIN, Texas - North Dakota State junior Logan Hollenkamp placed 40th in the hammer throw with a mark of 179 feet 5 inches as the Bison men finished competition at the NCAA Preliminary Round.

Senior Scott Johnson placed 45th in the hammer after a throw of 170-10.  The top 12 athletes advanced to the national semifinals.

In the first round of the 200 meters, sophomore Kevin Jackson came in 34th after running a time of 21.34.  The top 24 athletes advanced to Saturday's national quarterfinals.
