Bison Men to Take On Strong Field at Wisconsin adidas Invitational

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State men's cross country team will travel to the Wisconsin adidas Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 2.  The eight kilometer race will be held at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Verona, Wis. at 11:45 a.m.  This will be NDSU's first 8k race of the season.

The Bison will compete against 20 other teams from around the nation, including seven nationally-ranked squads.  Host Wisconsin is No. 6, while No. 11 Syracuse will also compete.  No. 15 Oklahoma, No. 18 Michigan State, No. 20 Providence, No. 23 Princeton and No. 25 Indiana are all slated to run Saturday.  North Carolin and Ohio State are both receiving votes in the national polls.  Syracuse claimed the team title at last year's adidas Invitational.

NDSU will be competing in its first meet since the Oz Memorial Run on Sept. 12.  At the six kilometer Oz Memorial, junior Tyler Leverington led the Bison with a 10th place finish as the team came in third.
