NDSU Women to Face Nationally-Ranked Teams at Wisconsin adidas Invitational

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State women's cross country team will run in the Wisconsin adidas Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Thomas Zimmer Championship Cross Country Course in Verona, Wis.  The six kilometer race will begin at 11 a.m.

 

The Bison will take on 19 squads from around the country, including six nationally-ranked teams.  No. 7 Florida is the top-ranked team at the meet and will be joined by No. 11 Syracuse, No. 20 Michigan State, No. 22 Michigan, host No. 26 Wisconsin and No. 29 North Carolina.  Indiana and Nebraska are both receiving votes.

 

This will be NDSU's first meet in three weeks.  The Bison last competed at the Oz Memorial Run on Sept. 12 where freshman Heidi Peterson led the squad with a sixth place finish.  Peterson has the team's best 6k time of 22:39.21.
