ELMHURST, Ill. - North Dakota State senior Amy Jo Thorne claimed her first career Summit League cross country athlete of the week award after winning the Tori Neubauer Invitational over the weekend.

Thorne won the six-kilometer Tori Neubauer title in a time of 21:34, the fastest time in the league this fall and a personal best by 44 seconds.  Her performance also helped the Bison win the team title Saturday.

Thorne and the Bison compete in the Summit League Championships presented by American Airlines Saturday, Oct. 30.
