Bison Men Finish 13th at NCAA Midwest Regional

PEORIA, Ill. ? The North Dakota State men's cross country team placed 13th out of 24 teams at the NCAA Midwest Regional on Saturday, Nov. 13.  The 10-kilometer race was held at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill. Junior Travis Fitzke led the Bison, finishing 78th in 31:57.72.

 

Oklahoma claimed the team title with 43 points.  Oklahoma State's Colby Lowe took first in the 171-athlete race with a time of 29:30.70.

 

Junior Jake Henderson placed 87th in 32:07.76, while fellow junior Tyler Leverington came in 92nd in 32:13.60.  Redshirt freshman Alec Espeland was 99th in 32:23.12.

 

Freshman Marty Joyce finished 105th with a time of 32:33.59.  Redshirt freshman Moses Heppner was 137th and junior Andy Fillmore was 141st.  Their times were 33:22.25 and 33:30.08, respectively.
