NDSU Men's Track and Field Picked to Win Fourth Straight Summit League Title

ELMHURST, Ill. ? The North Dakota State men's track and field team was unanimously selected as the 2010-11 Summit League indoor preseason favorite in vote of all seven of the league's head coaches.  The Bison are aiming for their fourth straight indoor league title.

 

NDSU topped the poll with all six possible first place votes and 36 points.  Southern Utah was second with 28 points and South Dakota State was third with 25 points.  Oral Roberts was tabbed to finish fourth. UMKC, Western Illinois and Oakland rounded out the poll.

 

The Bison are led by reigning Coach of the Year Don Larson and field championship MVP senior Ted Rud.  Rud is also the defending champion in the heptathlon.  Also returning for the Bison are high jump champion and school record holder Jeramy Geditz, 200-meter champion Kevin Jackson and 800-meter champion Eric Stroh.

 

All-league honorees Moses Heppner, Lee Kersting, Weston Leutz, Jesse Morrow, Casey Orgon and Doug Scott also return for NDSU.
