AMES, Iowa ? North Dakota State junior Kristen Killoran won the indoor pentathlon at the Bill Bergan Invitational on Friday, Jan. 28. Killoran notched a personal best score of 3,667 points, surpassing her previous best by 65 points and ranking fourth all-time in school history.
Killoran's best finishes of the day came in the long jump and 800 meters. She was second in the long jump with a leap of 19 feet ¾ inches and tied for second in the 800 with a time of 2:25.63.
The Casselton, N.D. native placed fourth in the 60 meter hurdles in 8.85, which is tied for eighth all-time at NDSU. She also tied for fourth in the high jump after clearing 5-1 ¼. Killoran was sixth in the shot put with a mark of 31-1 ¾.
The Bison continue action at the Bill Bergan Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 28. Field events begin with the high jump at 11 a.m. Running events start at 12:15 p.m. with the 60 meter hurdles.
