Bison Men Kick Off Action at Iowa State Classic

AMES, Iowa ? The North Dakota State men's track and field team opened action at the Iowa State Classic on Friday, Feb. 11.

 

The Bison had five athletes compete in the 200 meters.  Junior Kevin Jackson led the way, finishing 23rd in 22 seconds flat.  Freshman Donte Smart was 34th in 22.19, while fellow freshman Dwight Finnell was 50th in 22.36.  Junior Jason Duchscherer and freshman Nate Mattson both clocked in at 22.96.

 

In the weight throw, senior Sam Soholt came in 23rd with a throw of 52 feet 10 ¾ inches.

 

NDSU will continue action at the Iowa State Classic Saturday beginning at 9:35 a.m. with the mile run.
