Smart Wins 200 Meters at Duke Invitational

DURHAM, N.C. ? Freshman Donte Smart won the 200 meters to lead the North Dakota State men's track and field team at the Duke Invitational.  His winning time was 22.09 seconds.  The Bison posted six top eight finishes on the first day of competition.

 

In the 400 meter hurdles, sophomore Kevin Jackson finished third in a time of 52.41.  His time is ranked fourth all-time at NDSU.  Fellow sophomore Matt Tetzlaff was seventh in 53.22.

 

Along with Smart's first place finish in the 200 meters, fellow freshman Dwight Finnell was fourth in 22.73.  In the 100 meters, sophomore Lee Dhein finished second in 11.21.  Senior Eric Stroh took fourth in the 400 meters with a time of 49.65.

 

The Bison continue action at the Duke Invitational on Saturday, April 9 beginning at 8 a.m. Central.
