Stroh Wins 800 Meters at Beach Invitational

NORWALK, Calif. ? Senior Eric Stroh won the 800 meters to lead the North Dakota State men's track and field team at the Beach Invitational on Saturday, April 16.  Stroh's personal best time of 1:49.71 is fourth in school history.  He was one of three Bison to break into the school's all-time top 10 Saturday.

 

Sophomore Matt Tetzlaff continued to drop time in the 110 meter hurdles as he placed fifth with a personal best time of 14.26.  He dropped eight-tenths of a second from his previous best and is now tied for fourth all-time at NDSU with Tom Skaar.

 

In the pole vault, junior Joe Bredahl notched his second straight personal record in a tie for sixth place.  He cleared 16 feet 2 inches, which moves him to eighth in school history.

 

The Bison also posted top eight finishes in the 100 meters and high jump.  Sophomore Kevin Jackson took seventh in the 100 meters with a personal best time of 10.62.  He is only three-tenths shy of cracking the all-time top 10.  In the high jump, junior Jeramy Geditz tied for sixth after clearing 6-7 ½.

 

NDSU will be back in action April 25 at the South Dakota State Twilight meet.
